SINP Points Calculator – Calculate Your Saskatchewan PNP Score in 2026

If you are planning to immigrate to Saskatchewan through the Provincial Nominee Program, your points score decides whether you get an invitation to apply. The SINP uses a two-step process — you first submit an Expression of Interest, and only candidates who score 60 or higher get considered. What Is the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)?

SINP is Saskatchewan’s provincial immigration program. It allows the province to select and nominate skilled workers, international graduates, entrepreneurs, and farm operators for Canadian permanent residency. Once nominated, you apply to IRCC for your PR visa.

SINP has four main categories — International Skilled Worker, Saskatchewan Experience, Entrepreneur, and Farm. The points calculator only applies to the International Skilled Worker category, and specifically to the two streams within it that use the points grid: Saskatchewan Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand.

🚀 Already Have an Express Entry Profile?

A SINP nomination adds 600 CRS points to your federal profile and can fast-track your permanent residency significantly. Check your current CRS score to see exactly what that boost would mean for your ranking.

How Are SINP Points Calculated? — The Full Points Grid Breakdown

Your SINP score is split across two factors. Factor I covers Labour Market Success and is worth a maximum of 80 points. Factor II covers your Connection to Saskatchewan and is worth a maximum of 30 points. You need at least 60 to submit an EOI.

Which SINP Streams Require the Points Calculator?

Not all SINP streams use this points grid. Here is exactly which ones do — and how each one works:

✅ Uses Points Grid EE Linked

Saskatchewan Express Entry

Minimum 60 points + valid Express Entry profile number and Job Seeker Validation Code. A nomination adds 600 CRS points.

✅ Uses Points Grid

Occupations In-Demand

Minimum 60 points. No Express Entry profile required. The main option for skilled workers who want a SK nomination without a federal profile.

✅ Uses Points Grid

Employment Offer

Uses the points grid but works differently — a valid SK job offer is worth 30 Factor II points. The 60-point threshold still applies.

— No Points Grid

Saskatchewan Experience

For foreign nationals already in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit. Eligibility is based on work history and permit status, not a scored grid.

— No Points Grid

Entrepreneur & Farm

Separate criteria — business ownership, net worth, investment plans, and farm operation details. This calculator does not apply.

What Score Do You Need — And What Happens After 60 Points?

Sixty points is the minimum to submit an EOI — but it is not a guaranteed ticket to an invitation. Saskatchewan reviews all EOIs in the pool and invites profiles that best match the province’s current labour market needs. Higher scores rank better and get selected faster.

⚡ Reality Check — 60 Points Gets You Into Consideration

  • A score of 60 may sit in the pool for a long time, while a score of 80+ is far more competitive.
  • Saskatchewan reviews profiles against current labour market needs — not just score order.
  • If your score is close to 60, the smartest move is to improve it before you submit.

Once You Receive an Invitation — What Comes Next

1

Submit Your Full SINP Application

You have a set deadline from your invitation date. Submit all required documents — identity, language, education, work experience, and proof of Saskatchewan connection.

2

Receive a Provincial Nomination Certificate

If Saskatchewan approves your application, they issue a provincial nomination certificate confirming your nomination for permanent residency.

3

Apply to IRCC for Permanent Residency

Use your nomination certificate to apply to IRCC for your PR visa. For Saskatchewan Express Entry nominees, the nomination also adds 600 CRS points to your federal profile — which virtually guarantees an Invitation to Apply.

How to Increase Your SINP Score — Tips That Move the Needle

Most applicants calculate their score once and accept it. The smarter move is to find where points are being left behind and fix that before submitting your EOI.

1

Retake Your Language Test

Language is worth up to 20 points for your first language alone. CLB 4 gives you 12 points. CLB 8 gives you 20. That 8-point gap can be the difference between 58 and 66 — sitting below the threshold versus clearing it comfortably. If your current CLB score is below 8, booking a retest is the fastest way to add points without changing anything else in your profile.

2

Use Both Work Experience Windows

Most applicants only enter their recent 5 years of experience. SINP also scores work experience from 6 to 10 years before your application date — separately. If you have relevant experience from that earlier period in the same occupation, claim it. It adds points most people simply ignore because they do not know the window exists.

3

Get Your ECA Done Early

If your credentials were earned outside Canada, SINP requires an Educational Credential Assessment from an approved organization before it will accept your education points. If your ECA is still pending when you apply, you cannot claim those points. The process takes time — start it before you need it, not after.

4

Claim Your Saskatchewan Connection Points

A close family member in Saskatchewan who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident is worth 20 points in Factor II. Past work in Saskatchewan on a valid permit adds 5 more. Past study at a recognized Saskatchewan institution adds another 5. Many applicants qualify for these points and never claim them because they assume they don’t.

5

Link to Express Entry If You Have a Profile

If you have a valid Express Entry profile and Job Seeker Validation Code, apply under the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream instead of Occupations In-Demand. A nomination through this stream adds 600 CRS points to your federal profile — cutting your wait for permanent residency from years to months. Check your full CRS score to see exactly how a SINP nomination would change your Express Entry ranking.

📊 Check Your Express Entry CRS Score

If you have an active Express Entry profile, a SINP nomination through the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream adds 600 CRS points — which virtually guarantees a federal Invitation to Apply. Check your full CRS score now and see exactly how that boost would move your ranking.

Frequently Asked Questions About the SINP Points Calculator

How do I calculate my SINP points?

Enter your education level, work experience across both time windows, language test scores, age, and Saskatchewan connection details into the SINP points calculator above. It adds up your Factor I and Factor II scores and gives you your total out of 110.

How do I calculate points for SINP without a language test?

If you have not taken a language test, you score zero for language ability — which makes reaching 60 points very difficult. SINP strongly recommends taking an approved test before applying. Accepted tests include IELTS, CELPIP, PTE Core, and TEF.

What is the minimum score to apply for SINP?

You need at least 60 points out of 110 to apply under the ISW Saskatchewan Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand subcategories. The Employment Offer subcategory does not use the same minimum threshold.

Does SINP require a job offer?

Not always. The Occupations In-Demand and Saskatchewan Express Entry streams do not require a job offer. The Employment Offer stream does — and a valid offer from a Saskatchewan employer is worth 30 points in Factor II.

Can SINP help me get Canadian PR faster through Express Entry?

Yes. If you apply through the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream and receive a nomination, IRCC adds 600 CRS points to your Express Entry profile — virtually guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply for permanent residency.

Is the SINP open in 2026?

Yes. SINP is actively accepting applications in 2026. Saskatchewan has reserved a minimum of 750 nominations for graduates of Saskatchewan post-secondary institutions with job offers in priority sectors including agriculture, healthcare, skilled trades, energy, and technology.

What work experience counts toward SINP points?

Only skilled work experience directly related to your intended occupation in Saskatchewan counts. One year equals 12 full months. SINP scores experience across two separate windows — the 5 years immediately before your application, and the 6–10 years before it.

Do I need an ECA to claim education points under SINP?

Yes. If your credentials were earned outside Canada, you must provide an Educational Credential Assessment from an approved organization. Without it, SINP will not accept your claimed education points.
